MOSS 2007 Error: Search Request Unable to Connect to the Search Service

Issue : When attempting a search, I get the the error message "The search request was unable to connect to the Search Service in client browser. But server side it’s working fine.

Troubleshoot:

Step 1 :

1.            Reboot Index server

2.            Reboot Query server

Result:  Same error

Step 2:

1.                   Start the Indexing service on the MOSS Index server using Computer Management / Services

2.                   Stop the Search Services (Index & Query) using STSADM 
stsadm -o osearch -action stop

3.                   Start the Search Services (Index & Query) using STSADM 
stsadm -o osearch -action start

Result:  Same error

Step 3:

1.       Changed host address in servers like server IP’s and used same Servers IP in my local computer.

2.       Changed Proxy settings in browser level.

3.       Noticed that search is working fine

4.       It means there is some problem with Network load balancer

5.       Disabled one by one server and tested

6.        Finally got to know that the problem with NLB J
